Tip Me Frederick (TMF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to reducing cat overpopulation by using the humane method of Trap-Neuter-Return-Manage.  Feral cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and ear-tipped (the universal symbol of a neutered and vaccinated cat from which TMF derives their name), and then returned to their outdoor home. TMF also works closely with Frederick County Animal Control (FCAC) to help return eartipped cats to their colonies when they are brought into the shelter, as well as to place feral/semi-feral cats (or other cats with temperament and behavior issues) into safe barn/farm homes.  These are strays or former community cats who are not totally feral but cannot be socialized for adoption and/or who would face danger if they were returned to their colony. Highlights of the many ways cats lives have been touched by TMF:TMF has placed more than 220 cats in barn homes since 2014, On average, TMF places 15 cats per month in barn homes, Annually, TMF assists an average of 100 colony caregivers, Since its inception in 2013, TMF has facilitated the sterilization (spay/neuter) of over 1,300 cats and supported the sterilization and vaccination of an additional 300 cats in collaboration with the Frederick County Humane Society (FCHS) under a 2013 grant from PetSmart Charities, On average, TMF transports and sterilizes approximately 60 cats per month Tip Me Frederick invites you to join their biggest event of the year and help make a difference in the lives of cats in your local community.

Funds raised from Bets 4 Pets will be used to provide veterinary care to sick and injured cats, pay for sterilization surgeries and vaccinations and to purchase cat food and supplies. Please visit www.bets4pets.com, to order tickets or become a sponsor.  For just $40 between now and December 31st, your ticket will include entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, 1 free cocktail, “funny money” for gaming tables and a 50/50 raffle ticket.  After January 1st, tickets will be $50 until the night of the event and $60 at the door. Sponsorship levels start at just $50.
