AC&T will donate a Penny-a-Gallon to The Salvation Army for each gallon of gas sold at its stations (Burhans Blvd, Dual Highway, Frederick St., Hopewell Rd., Sharpsburg Pike, Wesel Blvd. and Williamsport) over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Frederick's Tuba Christmas

On Saturday, November 29th, Kick off the holiday season with an afternoon of holiday fun featuring regional Tuba & Euphonium players performing 4 -part Christmas Carols.  After a brief internmission, stay to enjoy the Weinberg's Winterfest; a sing-along featuring the mighty Wurlitzer and Mr. and Mrs. Claus.  Canned food donations for local food banks would be appreciated!

Barnes & Noble December Story Time

Barnes & Nobel, the nation's largest retail bookseller is hosting a month of stroytime events for children and families.  Theses events are designed to celebrate the joy of reading, creativity and fun.

The month of December will kick off with the Grinch Day story time on Monday, December 1st, at 4pm.  Customers are invited to celebrate Dr. Seuss Classic, How the Grinch Stole Christmas.  Grinch Day also launches the "25 Days of Grinch-mas", a campaign encouraging children to grow their hearts three sizes.

On December 5th, Barnes & Noble will host a Polar Express story time eent at 7pm.  Children are invited to come to this Polar Express Holiday event dressed in their pajamas to hear a reading of this holiday classic.  there will ber activities and treats accompanying the event. 

On Friday, December 12th, Barnes & Noble will host the Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition storytime at 7pm. A scavenger hunt as well as other activities will take place.  At this event, customers will also be able to discover the new Elf Pets: A Reindeer Tradition. 

On Wednesday, December 17th, Hanukah Storytime will be held at 10:30 am.  Barnes & Noble will host a Hanukah storytime featuring Honeyky Hanukah by Woody Guthrie, a new picture book story about a young boy and his dog.  The event will gocus on Hanukah traditions and celebrations.  participants will also enjoy crafts and activities.

 On December 19th, Barnes & Noble will wrap up th estory time month events with holiday classics story time at 7 pm.  At this event, featured titles wil linclude, Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and the Night Before Christmas.  Wearing PJHs is encouraged!  Baren & Noble care will offer Story time attendees a tall hot chocolate for only $1.

Evangelical Lutheran Church invites you to their 3rd annual ChristKindleMart. A ChristKindleMart is a German Christmas Festival tradition.  

This fundraiser benefits the Schaeffer Center, which provides an outstanding educational environment for the youth of the church and the community of Frederick.  

Enjoy German Brats, Sauerkraut, Potato Salad along with other German foods while you shop for unique Christmas gifts from local vendors from ELC Crafters and Fair Trade Winds.  Hear beautiful music throughout the weekend.  

Friday, December 5th, will feature Puppy Pictures with St. Nick and music by the New Market Street Brass Band.  Saturday Deember 6th, from 10 am -3 pm is the Family Fun Day which will include photos with St. Nick, keepsake ornament gifts and carnival games.

Mother Seton School Breakfast with Santa and Christmas Bazaar

Come join us at Mother Seton School to have a pancake breakfast with Santa and walk over to the Christmas Bazaar to shop our crafters and vendors for that unique holiday gift. Santa Claus will be there to take photos with your children, so skip the mall lines and see him here! Door prizes, raffles, and Christmas Carols will get you in the spirit. Also, a Kid's Bazaar with tons of gifts for the little ones to buy for their families under $10. Admission to the Bazaar is free. Pancake Breakfast is $7/ ages 7+, $5/ ages 3-6, and FREE for ages 2 and under.Vendor space is still available for $25 for up to two tables! "The Wonder of Christmas" Concert

The National Christian's Choir invites you to, "The Wonder Of Christmas" concert. This is a concert performed by the 170 auditioned voice choir, the NCC Children's Christmas Choir, accompanied by a full orchestra. This event will be held on Saturday, December 6th, 2014.

The first performance will be held at 1 pm., followed by a second performance beginning at 5 pm.

General Admission tickets are on sale for $18.00 Director's Circle tickets are $25.00 and Group rates are also available.

Dance Against Cancer

Come out to the "Dancing Against Cancer" event which will be held on Sunday, December 7th from 1 pm - 3 pm at Eastern Elementary School.  The event will include Zumba instructors from South Point Fitness.  There will be volunteers from Washington County Recreation Department to lead a two hour dance marathon.  

PAll proceeds from this event will benefit Vanessa Mannick, who is member of the Eastern Elementary school staff and is battling breast cancer.

Breakfast With Santa

You are invited to enjoy the holiday spirit with Santa!  

Sponsored by the Urbana Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department, there will be hosting a "Breakfast with Santa" on Sunday, December 14th from 8 am until 12 pm noon.

1st Annual Winter Masquerade Ball

On Saturday, December 20th, the 1st Annual Winter Masquerade will be held at the William Talley Rec Center in downtown Frederick.

Hosted by 3RC, Corp., a local non-profit organization created to assist people in Frederick with affordable housing information, medical and mortgage assistance, this event is a formal event where formal attire and masks are mandatory.

At the event, there will be a DJ, a 50/50 raffle and door prizes.  Please BYOB and food. 

Tickets are $25 per person.  Donations are greatly appreciated as well even if you are not able to attend the event.  Proceeds from this event will benefit ALS and Cancer awareness.
