Clustered Spires Ladies League Charity Golf Tournament

The Clustered Spires Ladies League is holding a charity golf tournament on July 31st at Clustered Spires Golf Course.  This tournament will support Heartly House.

The cost for the event is $60 and includes 18 holes with a cart, lunch  and a donation to Heartly House.  

The play of the day is shotgun start/best ball and tee off time is at 8 am.  Prizes will be awarded to golfers in several different categories. Raffle tickets will also be sold for various prizes and for 50/50 drawing.

Family Drive-In Movie Night

Cumberland Valley Chapter Young Professionals, are doing a Family Drive-In Movie School Drive Event on August 7th. I requested the movie "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2" $10 a carload if they bring a school supply or $15 a carload without a School Supply. We are welcoming people to bring their classic cars out and having a nostalgic theme. All donations and supplies are staying local to support our community.

Glow Run

Down Right Spectacular Car Show

Head to the Macy's end of the FSK Mall in Frederick on August 8th for the Down Right Spectacular Car Show to benefit F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Down Syndrome Support Group.  Antiques, Hot Rods, Performance, Luxury, American and Imports, all years and classes with judging and awards in multiple classes.  Entrance fee is $5 per person and children 10 and under are free.  Event shirts for a minimum $20 donation.

St. Mark's Annual Wolfsville Picnic

Annual Wolfsville Picnic, sponsored by St. Mark's Lutheran Church and Sunday School, Wolfsville, Maryland will be held at Smith's Picnic Woods located on Maryland Route 17 just north of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Wolfsville, MD.  

Musical entertainment throughout the afternoon will be furnished by Take Two Variety Band and Ernie Bradley and the Grassy Ridge Band.  Crafts, garden produce, and home baked goods will be offered for sale.  A Butterfly Applique' quilt, from the 1940's has been donated for auction.  Homemade soups, featuring slippery ham pot-pie, country ham sandwiches, hand dipped ice cream and French fries and potato chips will be available.  A The public is cordially invited to join in the good food, good fellowship and a good time reminiscing with old friends.

Equinox Dance Company Happy Hour Fundraiser

Join Equinox Dance Company for their Happy Hour Fundraiser at The Cellar Door Restaurant on Saturday, August 15th from 3pm-7pm.  New Artistic Director, Bria Jahrling, and the company members will be discussing plans and events for the 2015/2016 season.  If you are interested in auditoning or just want more information, they will be able to answer your questions.

The Cellar Door will be donating a percentage of sales to the Equinox Dance Company Fundraising efforts so come support your local dancers!

Main Street Middletown 5K Fun Run

Grab your running shoes and head down to Main Street for the Heart of Middletown 5K Fun Run 2015!

Thisi s a certified course through downtown Middletown for family fun!  There will be live music, medals and awards.  Proceeds from this event will benefit Main Street Middletown and Middletown Branch Frederick County Libraries.

Equinox Dance Company 2 Hour Free Class!

Anyone 18 years of age and older is invited to join Equinox Dance Company in a free 2-hour class on Sunday, August 30th from 10 am until 12 pm.

This class will count as your audition if you are interested in being part of Equinox Dance Company.  For those auditioning, at least 3 years of dance training is preferred.

This class will consist of contemporary technique work, learning and creating new movement and imporovisation.

The 2015 and 2016 events will be in partnership with the Fort Detrick Alliance and will benefit the needs of local Veterans, active and former service men and women and their families.

This is an elegant dinner with dancing beginning with an hors d'oeuvre and wine reception followed by a 4-course dinner.

There will be live entertainment provided by Cloud 9 and Dancing under the stars.

There will also be a silent auction featuring art, jewelery, travel, sports, spa retreats and more!
