Community Restaurant at Dutch's Daughter
This week's Thursday Community Spotlight is a WIN-WIN!
The Great Urbana Area Food Bank is partnering with Dutch's Daughter Restaurant in Frederick to have a community Restaurant!
This Community Restaurant concept is modeled after Jon Bon Jovi's Soul Kitchen in his hometown of Red Bank, NJ. After experiencing Bon Jovi's Soul Kitchen first hand, Jo Ostby, who has run the Great Urbana Area Food Bank, held his first comminity restaurant in April of 2013. His community restaurant was widley accepted and enjoyed by many.
"Mixing food bank families with members of the community proved a fun evening of laughter and lively conversation".
Dutch's Daughter Proprietor, Eileen Gideon says, "I am so happy to be helping the poor, hungry and hurting people right here in our own community".
Participants can pay at least $10 to eat the Dutch's Daughters' delicious buffet dinner. People who can pay more than the $10 will enable those who cannot afford to eat at a restaurant of Dutch's Daughter's standard.
This 2nd Community Restaurant requires an advance purchase of tickets by Thursday September 5th.
For ticket purchase and more information, contact the Ostbys by calling 240-529-4815 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
