The Shenandoah Riverside Festival is happening all weekend long, starting today at the Brunswick Family Campgrounds, 100 S. Maple Ave., Brunswick. This family fun event will include bluegrass and folk music, River and Trail Outfitters tube, canoe and kayak rentals, kid’s activities, food and craft vendors and a beer garden. This weekend take a nighttime excursion through “Maryland’s most Haunted City”, with Ghost Tours of Historic Frederick. Tomorrow morning at 9 is Flight for the Cure, at the Pegasus Radio-Controlled Airplane Club, 19900 Old Forge Road, Hagerstown. The event is free, with donations accepted to benefit the John R. Marsh Cancer Center. There will be radio-controlled plane demonstrations, full-scale aircraft on display, a landing by the Maryland State Police helicopter, plus food for sale, face painting for the kids and flight simulators.
