Thursday Community Spotlight 5-1
The mission of Drug Free Washington County is to reduce and prevent youth substance use by empowering youth to make healthy choices. The Drug Free Washington County (Drug Free WC) is made up of a community of people who are concerned about the dangers of youth substance use.
Studies show that youth who drink alcohol are more likely to experience school, social, legal as well as other problems.
Youth who start drinking before age 15 years are 5 times more likely to develop alcoholism later in life than those who begin drinking at or after age 21.
Together we can explore and effectively respond to the various factors that contribute to underage drinking in our community.
Meeting dates: Meetings are usually at noon on the third Thursday of the month. You can see the online calendar for exact dates, times and locations online at teenshavechoices.org/events.
