Beach Boys, wine and chocolate and pit pride in this weekend five!

FRANKLY THIS FIRST THING I WOULD BE TOTALLY CONTENT WITH MAKING ALL FIVE THINGS, BUT LET’S GET STARTED WITH THE WINE AND CHOCOLATE WALK IN DOWNTOWN BRUNSWICK. SAMPLE THE FINE WORK OF SEVERAL LOCAL CHOCOLATIERS AND SEVEN DIFFERENT WINERIES. THERE’LL BE A VINTAGE FASHION SHOW AND LIVE MUSIC. THE EVENT IS FROM 1-6 ON SATURDAY AND TICKETS ARE TWENTY BUCKS.

THE BEACH BOYS WILL TAKE THE STAGE AT THE GREAT FREDERICK FAIR AT 7:30 FRIDAY NIGHT. FEEL THEIR GOOD VIBRATIONS BUT PLEASE RESIST THE URGE TO GO CROWD SURFING IN THE USA. TICKETS ARE $42 FOR GRANDSTAND AND $47 FOR RESERVED SEATS TRACKSIDE.

IF YOU’D LIKE TO HEAD DOWN TO THE PANHANDLE, THE CHARLES TOWN HERITAGE FESTIVAL PROMISES A DAY OF EVERYTHING FROM A HISTORY TENT TO A CLIMBING WALL TO A PIE BAKE OFF TO A CRAFT FAIR. THAT’S SATURDAY FROM 10-5 IN DOWNTOWN CHARLES TOWN.

YOU REMEMBER SCOTTY MCCREERY? HIS RISE TO STARDOM ALL STARTED WITH HIS AMERICAN IDOL WIN IN 2011 AND NOW HE’S A HUGE DEAL IN COUNTRY MUSIC. HE’S GOING TO BE ON STAGE AT THE LUHR’C CENTER AT SHIPPENSBURG UNIVERSITY FRIDAY NIGHT AT 8. TICKETS RANGE FROM $39-65.

AND MY PICK OF THE WEEK IS THE SECOND PIT PRIDE FESTIVAL WILL BE ON SATURDAY AT CARROLL CREEK LINEAR. THERE’LL BE MUSIC, FACE PAINTING AND A BEER GARDEN, PLUS A CHANCE TO SHOW YOUR LOVE FOR PIT BULLS AND EVEN FIND OUT ABOUT ADOPTING ONE! EVERYTHING GETS STARTED AT 2.

THAT’S THIS WEEKEND’S OFFICIAL FIVE, BUT THERE’S A LOT MORE GOING ON SO GO OUT AND HAVE A GOOD TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY!
