We pitted 64 artists played on The Eagle into a head to head voting challenge controlled by YOU!!
106.9 The Eagle held the first ever Eagle Music Madness in March to find out who the ultimate classic hits band was. 64 Artists were selected in February for listeners to vote on to decide the seeding. The overall #1 Seed was Queen closely followed by Billy Joel, The Beatles and Fleetwood Mac. But it was the #5 Seed The Eagles that dominated the tournament once it began in March. Every day there were multiple matchups for listeners to text in who they wanted to win and every opponent that The Eagles faced was defeated with at least 65% of the vote, including Queen in the Final Four. The Eagles started with John Mellencamp, Guns N Roses, Bob Segar, Fleetwood Mac, Queen and the Elton John in the Finals. The Final 4 were Queen, The Eagles, Aerosmith and Elton John. Long Shots in Frederick sponsored the whole thing and is a great place to Bet on Sports and get a good meal in Frederick on Holiday Drive.
