The Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club has been bringing the Market Street Mile to downtown Frederick since 1983 – and we’re back again this September!

✨ Imagine racing straight down Market Street, surrounded by the charm of historic Frederick, and finishing right in the middle of Celebrate Frederick’s “In The Streets” festival. It’s the perfect combination of fitness, fun, and community spirit!

Whether You’re Racing or Just Running for Fun

• Competitive Runners: Push your pace and race your heart out!

• Noncompetitive Runners: Join a timed or untimed heat – enjoy the atmosphere, cheer each other on, and just have fun.

The Market Street Mile is more than just a race – it’s about giving back. Each year, all net proceeds go directly to support Frederick-area children in need.

This year’s beneficiaries include:

• City Youth Matrix – Connecting youth with opportunities to grow through extracurricular activities.

• Lincoln Panther Running Club – A free, after-school running program for 2nd–5th graders at Lincoln Elementary, managed by the Frederick Steeplechasers.
